The AV Children’s Choir (AVCC), based in the High Desert of Southern California, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing exceptional vocal music education to children ages 6 to 18. Since 1995, AVCC has inspired young singers through a structured, joyful, and high-quality choral program rooted in artistic excellence.
We offer three ensemble levels based on age and experience:
Chorus (ages 6–9)
Choir (ages 10–13)
Youth Chorale (ages 14–18)
Each class meets during two annual semesters, where students develop vocal skills, learn to sing in harmony, and grow in musical literacy. Our students also have opportunities to perform solos, sing in multiple languages, and participate in formal adjudications during our annual competition season.
Led by Artistic Director Christine Sullivan (Choir and Youth Chorale) and Chorus Director Eva Folsom, AVCC performs a wide variety of musical genres, from classical and contemporary to world music.
Our in-residence concerts are held at the Palmdale Playhouse, and we proudly partner with the City of Palmdale to enrich our local cultural landscape. AVCC singers have performed at festivals, civic events, and community celebrations, consistently earning excellent and superior ratings.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely on the support of families, donors, and the community to continue nurturing the next generation of musicians. We are always welcoming new voices. If your child loves music, they belong here.
