Singers ages 8-17 who wish to join the AVCC must audition. Auditions are usually held near the beginning and end of summer for the upcoming year.

The Antelope Valley Children's Choir provides musical and vocal training in a professional performance environment. Choir members, and therefore, choir families, can expect a time commitment of no less than 3 hours per week during the regular rehearsal schedule, which would include attending regular weekly rehearsals and practicing their music at home. Performances and competitions will require extra rehearsal time and practice.

Singer participation in concerts and performances is NOT voluntary. All singers are expected to participate. All singers are expected to follow AVCC guidelines regarding participation, uniforms and behavior.

The AVCC is a non-profit organization; parent involvement is VITAL to the success of your child's experience. AVCC families are expected to volunteer time and participate in all choir fundraisers. ALL CHOIR FAMILIES ARE REQUIRED TO RAISE $100 per year during the Annual AVCC Patron and Advertiser Drive. Money raised with Patrons and Advertisers benefit the General AVCC. There will also be PERSONAL fundraising opportunities designed to help AVCC families pay various AVCC fees.

The fee schedule is as follows:

$200 per semester, which includes the AV College registration fee, administration fee, various uniform/costume fees, music fee.
